Refreshing Green Chia Smoothie

All right so this smoothie is kind of an ugly colour too, but I did not care to mention that in the name. ;)

It's got about 1.5 grams of protein from the spinach and 3 grams of protein from the Chia Seeds, plus fibre.

Did you know that Cinnamon is fibre rich? I love sprinkling cinnamon in EVERYTHING! No joke. I've even put it in ground turkey. It's quite yummy, actually!

Now for this Refreshing Green Chia Smoothie, I must apologise that I forgot to add in the photographing of the written recipe the avocados I snuck into the smoothie, which you can leave out and it'll still taste great!

U

Recipe in a blender: "Refreshing Green Chia Smoothie"
About 2 cups Spinach
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
1 cup Mixed Fruit (from Wal-Mart, the one with Pineapple, Peaches, Mangos and Strawberries)
1/6 of frozen Avocado (optional) (I cut and diced the Avocado before I stuck it in a baggy and froze it in the freezer)
1 1/4 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk (I used Blue Diamond brand this time)
2 Dashes/Dumps of Ground Cinnamon.

The Entire Recipe serves one person for 223 calories and that IS all of it in the picture, minus a couple taste testing bites.

It was a delicious breakfast!

Would you try it? It's a great way to get in your daily veggies that everyone tells you your body needs, which it does! So I smother the gross taste veggies with fruit and almond milk and cinnamon!

Refreshing Ugly Speckled Green Smoothie

What sort of name is that, you are probably wondering, yes?

It's a truthful name. Because one: it's refreshing in taste; two:it refreshing, a.k.a detoxifying, to the body; and three: it's an ugly green colour with speckles in it from the seeds of fruit.

Refreshing Ugly Speckled Green Smoothie

That is one serving in that photo, there, my friends (and that's after I've had taste tested a couple, few bites). And it's only 160 calories!

I know! It's crazy! "Only 160 calories for THAT MUCH! You've got to be kidding me!"

I, for one, am not kidding. But I must warn you that if you don't have a agreeing taste buds that are adventuresome and open to new tastes without telling you it's "gross!" Like my sister. ;)

The recipe:

About 2 cups of frozen spinach
5 frozen Cucumber slices
4 frozen Celery slices/chunks (equivalent to one celery stalk)
1/2 cup frozen Pineapple chunks
1/2 cup frozen Peach slices
1/2 cup frozen Strawberries
2 cups Unsweetened Almond Milk (I used Silk brand)
2-3 dashes/dumps of Ground Cinnamon

U
Oh, I had this for supper last night, so I could have some dessert later that night of Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookie Dough without going overboard on my calorie intake for the day and gain weight - that would not be good. Hence, I am grateful for the detoxifying foods I can throw in a blender and make yummy smoothies with! ;)

Eggs Have Fat Burning Power??

I had two hard boiled eggs with my lunch today. YUMMY!

Anyways, I wanted to share with you something interesting I found:

"Two eggs with yolks included for Lecithin, which is a natural fat burner, and give you a lot of protein and energy."

So don't be afraid of egg yolks, even though they have far more calories than just egg whites.

HISTORY FACTS:

First, today eggs are sold in cartons of a dozen or half dozen or...

And back in...

It's quite fascinating and useful for My Remmington Pirate Series if I do say so myself. And while I'm at it, I thought I would look up a

Fitness Dare: Blow Drying Squat Jumps

Desperate to squeeze in a workout today, even though I have no time for one it seems, but I am MAKING TIME to exercise my body.

Today I have gone into a public restroom four times already - because I have been drinking lots of water - and didn't want to waste time standing there till my hands were blown dry by that hand dryer machine in the bathroom, so I did Jump Squats till my hands were COMPLETELY dry. I ended up doing a total of 40 Jump Squats each time I had to blow dry my hands.

So, I dare you to do Jump Squats whilst you are blowing drying your hands after using a public restroom - if they have a hand blow dryer. I have not actually tried jump squats while drying my hands with paper towels. Maybe you should be the first! ;)

Squat Jump - knees behind toes

Note: You may not need to do a total of 40 Jump Squats, because the dryer might be faster or you know people keep walking in while you're trying to do it. Who cares! Be an inspiration! Be confident! You deserve to be!

It's great! You get fat burning cardio for glutes, calves, thighs, abs, and well, your entire body!!!

Tip: Keep your back straight and abs drawn in as you squat low and jump up, landing back in a squat, but keep going.

Knees bother you? Try Squat Jumps in Sumo Squat Jump style! Or just do squats, if your ankle bothers you. Do what's pain-free for you! At least you're lapping the person not exercising. :P

Who is Alexandra Remmington Talking to???

I am not going to tell you, because you will have to read the book when it comes out and I can't tell you when that is either, cause I'm NOT DONE YET! And I can't tell you when in the series this scene takes place, again you will have to wait and see! ;)

"I need you to tell him that you don't have feelings for me anymore, cause he seems to think you," said Alexandra.
"I can't," said he.
"Why not?"
"Because I would be lying."
"What?"
"I still have feelings for you, Miss Remmington."
She shook her head. "[HIS NAME], please...what are you doing?" Her emotions rose. Tears threatened to escape her eyes.
"Alex, it's true."
"Stop it." Tears streaked her face. "Please stop it-" said Alex.
"Alex, I'm serious, I love you." He looked into her eyes intently.
Alex gulped through tears.
"Tell me you don't still have feelings for me too, and I will never bother you again."
"[HIS NAME], how can I - I mean it's so complicated I don't know what's wrong with me, but it's like, it's like I love you both equally I don't understand."
He suddenly smirked. "You think there's something wrong with you?"
"...maybe this is a sign that both of you are not really meant for me," she tried.
"Al, that's not true, and you know it."

[Note: I have not figured out the scene's setting yet. It could be on an island, a ship, a town/city/village, a garden, a hill, a field, a cave, evening, morning, mid-day, raining, sunny, cloudy...wait and see!!]
