I am working on the mystery of this, which is still a mystery to me how it's going to really play out. ;)
This journal once belonged to the ancient Pirate of Old or maybe it's not a pirate, maybe he's something else, I don't know yet. I'm still thinking about it. At any rate, this journal helps to find the Ultimate Treasure. It's important. In this scene Alexandra is studying it - after her, Martha, Jane, Gavin, Tom and Jacob had a near death experience in getting it...
Alexandra opened the old journal. Right away she saw that part of the third page was torn off, leaving the end of a word - "tic" - along with other words.
"Give me a word that ends with 'tic,'" said Alex.
“Fine, tragic,” said Gavin.
“Poetic,” said Alex.
“It’s genetic,” said Gavin.
“Chaotic,” said Tom.
“Erratic,” said Gavin.
“Absolutistic,” said Jane.
“Is that even a word?” asked Tom.
“Yes,” said Jane as Jacob talked over them.
“Ecstatic,” said Jacob.
“Fantastic,” said Gavin.
“Thank you,” said Alex.
“Sarcastic,” said Gavin.
“Psychotic,” said Alex.
“Characteristic,” said Jacob.
“It’s romantic," said Martha. Everyone stared at her.
“That’s pathetic,” said Alex.
“Or charismatic,” said Tom.
“Yeah, no, it’s unrealistic,” said Gavin.
“That’s drastic,” said Jane.
“Dynamistic,” said Jacob.
“Fanatic,” said Martha.
“That’s dramatic,” said Tom.
“Gigantic,” said Jane.
“Idealistic,” said Tom.
“Idiotic,” said Jane.
“Or programmatic,” said Alex.
“Irritionalistic,” said Gavin.
“That’s not even a word,” said Alex.
“Hypnotic,” said Martha.
“How would you know?” challenged Gavin.
“Naturalistic,” said Tom.
“Because it’s unheard of,” said Alex.
“Parasitic,” said Jane glaring at Tom.
“You need to get out more,” said Gavin.
“Problematic,” said Tom glaring at Jane.
“Definitely not majestic,” said Jacob.
“I do get out, thank you very much!” Alex glared at Gavin.
“Optimistic,” said Martha.
“Tactic,” said Jacob.
“Hmhm, sure you do,” said Gavin.
“Militaristic,” said Martha.
“Aristocratic!” Tom smiled proudly.
“Lunatic,” said Jane.
“Mastic,” said Jacob.
“Mystic,” said Martha.
“Good grief,” said Dr. B.
“Psychotic,” said Tom.
“Already have it!” said Alex.
“What? Really?” asked Tom.
“Were you even listening?” asked Jacob.
“Mathematic,” said Gavin.
“Yes, of course I was,” said Tom.
“Adventuristic,” said Jane.
“I doubt it,” said Jacob.
“Not a word!” said Alex, writing all the others down on a blank sheet of paper.
Jane glared at her sister.
“Alphabetic,” said Martha proudly.
“Sympathetic,” said Jacob.
“Brilliant!” said Alex.
“Pessimistic,” said Tom.
“Have ye a ‘nough words endin’ in ‘tic,’ Miss Alex,” asked Seraphim – a member of Gavin’s crew.
These are some old/ancient journals I'm looking at for inspiration of what it might look like...
