Miss Martha Remmington is Jane and Alexandra Remmington's cousin. She is an heiress.
A bit o' conversation:
"Truly? Uh... Just how do you expect to do that, sweetheart?"
A bit o' dialogue:
"Ugh! Pirates! Always insatiable!" Martha complained as she moved through the woods.
Her nickname is Marty. It's kind of hard to go by Martha sometimes, because I'm so used to calling her Marty. Regardless, Marty is an heiress. Her mother is Hispanic and her father is English.
I went through a gazillion, ok maybe not quite a gazillion, but I went through a ton of different pictures of girls with the similar description of Miss Martha, and this girl is the one fits the image in my head the best for Marty...

She is 17 years old. She has thick straight, super dark brown hair (looks almost like black). Her skin is pale with golden undertones that tans easily in the sun. She has a slender figure and big brown eyes that are usually full of energy and boldness. Her face is oblong with a square jawline and pointed chin.
Her Strengths - good listener, kind, sensitive, bravery, boldness, loyalty, dedication, energetic, clever, self-sacrificing, confident
Her Weaknesses - people-pleaser, sometimes impulsive, impressionable, rebellious, nosey
Personality - She is an extrovert and thinks instinctively. She's carefree, vain (meaning, excessively proud of her personal appearance, except for her skin tone). She is frivolous, sometimes playful, perky, lighthearted, merry, sometimes thoughtless, frolicsome.
She is caring toward her family, especially when something is serious...
She is very strong in the face of her brothers and other men.
She looks at the character of a person and not the title.
Her Favorite Phrase:
"Oh pish!"
A bit o' conversation:
"Why was she hiding a key?" asked Marty.
"And what is it for?" asked Alex.
"Maybe there's something in the room that would help," suggested Jane.
A bit o' conversation:
"You're really not going to lose any sleep over this, are you?" asked Marty.
"Not a wink," said Tom.
"Because, I'd be tossing and turning, knowing I'm alive because I let my friend nearly got killed for me."
"Augh! I'm not responsible for this mess! I'm not going. And I didn't ask Jacob to put his neck on the line for me!"
"Look, clearly I can't appeal to your honor but I have other ways of convincing you.""Truly? Uh... Just how do you expect to do that, sweetheart?"
"By speaking your language." She held up a large diamond. she emptied a small bag of jewels into his hand.
Tom looked at the twinkling contents and considered her offer of rescuing Jacob. He looked at her suddenly. "Yup, this'll do!"
A bit o' dialogue:
"Ugh! Pirates! Always insatiable!" Martha complained as she moved through the woods.
A bit o' conversation:
"The Ultimate Treasure," Jacob turned around and walked away, saying, "Go ahead! Knock yourself out."
"Ugh! He's such a mule!" said Marty.
"And handsome," said Jane.
"I...I didn't notice," said Marty.
"Hmm, hmm," said Jane.
A bit o' dialogue:
He offered a pistol. She reached for it then he jerked it out of her reach.
"Oh, you are going to do this now?" Marty glared.
"Alright, alright, this time I'm serious, here." He offered it to her again.
She reached again but he jerked it away. She sighed with frustration. He laughed, as she said, "What are you doing? We don't have time for this!"
A bit o' conversation:
"You say you're willing to die for love, but you know nothing about dying and you know nothing about love!"

An 18th century wedding dress |
Marty Remmington's father - Lord David Remmington - is a gentleman of the higher part of the upper class, who makes 4 thousand a year and has an independent income. He does not hold land directly of Queen Anne).
Lord David is very eager for his daughter to marry someone of higher rank (like all fathers want for their daughters, including their mothers and brothers).
